Hosting an Internet Exchange, Edge-IX, has also enabled NWIX to develop the concept of the peering LAN which allows the exchange of traffic between all customers as if they were on a single network. The Requirement

Interconnecting data centres is core to the NWIX proposition. With IFL being one of the main data centres in both Manchester and the North West it was vital for the NWIX network to be present within their data centre, which is also a key Internet Exchange.

The Solution

IFL now host a major Point-of-Presence for NWIX within the main Meet-me-Room at their IFL2 data centre. The Meet-me-Room hosts a range of leading international network providers facilitating the delivery of services to clients hosted within the IFL data centre.

IFL is a central hub for the NWIX network which spans multiple North West data centres enabling NWIX to provide complex multi site hosting solutions on their dedicated and resilient fibre Network.
