IFL, providers of Business Class data centres and colocation solutions, today announced that it had secured long term contract extensions with two of its largest hosting partners.
The first contract to be extended was with Bytemark Hosting, an IFL client since 2006. Based in York, Bytemark Hosting provide a wide range of hosting solutions including virtual machines, dedicated servers and fully hosted managed hosting solutions.
IFL provides Bytemark Hosting with multiple secure caged environments in separate locations of the IFL2 data centre. Between 2006 and 2009, Bytemark increased their data centre space at IFL2 by 135%. The five year contract extension also sees IFL provide Bytemark with additional capacity for future years including a staged growth plan to take their total increase in IFL2 data centre space to almost 200%, with power reserved to meet these growth expectations.
The second extension is with Talk Internet (www.talkinternet.co.uk). Talk Internet provides Cloud Computing Solutions with managed hosting and connectivity solutions for businesses across the UK, working with technology partners to provide end to end IT solutions.
A VMWare hosting partner, Talk Internet have been an IFL client for over three years and have seen their IFL2 data centre space grow by over 260%, utilising multiple secure cages to offer their clients secure and resilient environments for their servers.
In addition to a three year contract extension, further discussions are underway to expand Talk’s IFL2 data centre footprint to accommodate their rapidly growing customer base.
Matthew Edgley, IFL Sales Manager comments;
“We are delighted to be securing these partnerships for the long term. Both Talk Internet and Bytemark Hosting have fully utilised the strength of our facility and their own technical expertise to develop a highly resilient data centre for their own clients. IFL deliver the platform and our Partners add their value, it’s a model that makes sense and continually delivers results.
With plans to expand IFL data centre facilities significantly over the next 12 months, the importance to IFL of such relationships cannot be overstated. Equally, one of the major challenges facing hosting providers today is partnering with a data centre provider that can accommodate their future growth while not providing competition for client services. In this, we recognise a natural synergy that creates an opportunity for strong business partnerships rather than simple supplier relationships.”
